Joe Rogan: Ronda Rousey is ‘done’ fighting in the UFC

The future UFC Hall of Famer hasn’t set foot inside the Octagon since her UFC 207 loss to women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.

Rousey, who was fighting for the first time since her second-round KO loss to Holly Holm, , who ended the contest in less than a minute with a vicious barrage of punches.

The nature of Rousey’s back-to-back losses, coupled with her radio silence on her future, has led many to believe the California native is done with the fight game.

Rogan agrees with that notion and reckons the mixed martial arts world has seen the last of the Olympic bronze medalist.

“She’s done. I’m pretty sure (she’s done),” he said during a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. “If I had to guess.”

Should Rousey decide to lace up her gloves again, Rogan would like to see the 30-year-old leave her long-time coach Edmond Taverdyan and find a trainer who is well versed in all the facets of mixed martial arts.

“If she wants to fight again,” he added. “What I would want to see is her move to a camp that can address the entire game of MMA in a much more comprehensive way.

“I would want her to go to someone like Matt Hume.”

As for a potential opponent for the pioneer of women’s mixed martial arts, Rogan believes Rousey should steer clear of fighting the bantamweight division’s elite fighters.

“Fight someone who is coming up. Get a tune-up fight,” he said. “I don’t even think she wants to fight.

“I think at a certain point you have another money in the bank you have enough notoriety and fame and she’s got a lot of aspirations outside of the sport, she’s married now.

“Who knows, she might want to start a family.”
