Conor McGregor would’ve been SACKED for bus attack if he was anyone else – Bisping

Eleven days ago, McGregor and his friends stormed the event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York looking for Khabib Nurmagomedov, who a few days earlier was involved in an altercation with the Irishman’s training partner Artem Lobov.

They soon found out that Nurmagomedov was on a bus about to leave the arena and promptly swarmed it, with .

McGregor’s antics have been widely condemned, with many of his critics calling on the UFC brass to part company with him.

Such an event is highly unlikely given the fact he’s the promotion’s biggest earner.

But if he wasn’t, Bisping believes he would’ve been kicked to the curb immediately.

“I tell you right now, if that was Ray Borg that threw a dolly, if that was Rafael dos Anjos that did that, if it was f**king anyone else, they’d be gone,” he said during the latest episode of his ‘Believe You Me’ podcast.

“They would be so f*****g done in the organization.

“But no, the footage is on the Embedded! And listen, if you’re the , now you have to do Khabib vs. Conor, and that’s all the Countdown show will be.

“Conor running in there, smashing the window, Khabib’s reaction, all that type of stuff.”

Although there is a dark cloud hanging over McGregor at this moment in time, Bisping reckons there’s a silver lining for the UFC brass.

He added: “At the end of the day, is that how you want people to behave? No, but can you turn it into a positive?

“Of course you f*****g can and you can turn it into a s**t-ton of money.

“That is going to be a massive pay-per-view. 100 percent. Khabib already has a huge following. Conor, of course, massive following.

“Them two fight after all that? Forget about it. Well over 1.5 million buys.”

McGregor, 29, hasn’t set foot inside the Octagon since his historic UFC 205 victory over Eddie Alvarez, a triumph which saw him become the first fighter in the promotion’s history to hold two titles simultaneously.

His first fight back in the promotion could very well see him fight Khabib Nurmagomedov, who claimed the lightweight title in the main event of UFC 223.
