Conor McGregor puts Floyd Mayweather in his place with a savage Instagram post

On Sunday night, Mayweather seemingly revealed that he wants to fight the UFC’s lightweight champion inside the Octagon.

The boxer’s stunning revelation came in the form of an Instagram post, .

The accompanying caption read: “Certified Killa vs Certified B***h.”

Mayweather’s recent Instagram post caused a stir in the combat sports world, with many boxing and MMA fans questioning the reasoning behind the picture.

McGregor soon became aware of the snap, which used part of a picture from his UFC 196 bout with Nate Diaz, and responded with his own, which of course saw him have another pop at his most recent opponent.

Shortly after seeing Mayweather’s post, McGregor uploaded a picture of him elbowing Diaz during their 202 bout.

The snap’s accompanying caption read: “A real elbow in a real fight.”

Mayweather has yet to respond to McGregor’s latest rebuttal but will no doubt do so in due time.

McGregor, 29, is intrigued by the prospect of Mayweather entering the MMA world and is eager to give the 40-year-old a rude awakening.

“I’m excited, let’s see,”

“I just landed so I’ll check it out. But, I’m up for it.

“He should. I went into his game, he should come into mine.”

McGregor, 29, hasn’t set foot inside the Octagon since claiming the 155lbs title in the main event of UFC 205, a card which saw him become the first fighter in the promotion’s history to hold two titles concurrently.
