Conor McGregor breaks silence

Former UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor has finally ended his silence after being charged with assault.

‘The Notorious’ was charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief following his involvement in a brawl during the UFC 223 media.

McGregor has remained tight-lipped since that day at the Barclays Center in New York, but he spoke for the first time in an Instagram post in the early hours of Thursday morning.

, his girlfriend and their son, Conor Jr, McGregor wrote: “I have the best job in the world looking after my family.

“If we all look after our own, we are all looked after.”

Javier Mendez has claimed McGregor should’ve handled his beef with Khabib Nurmagomedov in a different manner rather than throwing a dolley through the window of a bus carrying his fellow fighters.

“It should be him and Conor, they should have it out themselves,” . “There’s no need (for everyone else). If he has words for him, come talk to him.”

“If you attack a bus with innocent people on there who have nothing to do with anything (it’s wrong),” he added.

“If your beef is with the fighter, then be a fighter. Have it out with him.”

“I don’t know,” White told the assembled media during the UFC 223 post-fight press conference.“You can’t ask me anything about Conor.

“I don’t know anything about Conor. I haven’t thought about it.

“There’s nothing to think about this week I think except for this event.”
